Mezcla launches rebrand in time for large scale distribution

Maker of puff-crispy protein bars Mezcla partnered with New York and Minneapolis-based design agency CBX to launch its revitalised packaging. The rebrand is a result of Mezcla’s drive to share its products with a wider range of consumers and coincides with its expansion to multiple retail stores. At its core Mezcla is known for its artisanal products but CBX’s design has a “bold edge” that will appeal to a new community of shoppers. Keeping elements of its original identity, the packaging still includes the vibrant artwork of Peruvian artist Cesar Caycho. Its updated features, however, include energetic colours that mirror the diverse flavours within their range, which Griffin Spolanksy, CEO of Mezcla, explains will introduce “new customers to the protein bar aisle”.
