AGDA Design Awards 2021 open for entries
The AGDA Design Awards, which recognise the best work in Australia across design, has officially opened for its 2021 entries. The awards aim to further the expand the discussion on design and stimulate the creative progress of the industry.
The awards highlight every generation of talent, from students at college and university, to long-established leaders of the profession. Categories include ‘Brand and Identity,’ ‘Print,’ ‘Design Effectiveness,’ ‘Student Publications,’ and ‘Emerging Designer of the Year.’ The judges will assess the contenders based on innovative expression of an idea (creativity), execution of the concept (craft) and relevance to the intended audience (communication).
Past winners include creative directors, business directors, designers and founders from a range of different agencies, including The Brand Agency, Years Months Days, Made by big, Antibody, Never Sit Still and Yes Captain.
The earlybird entries close on 18 August, the slowpoke entries close by 8 September and the final superslacker entries close on 22 September. The judging will take place online between the end of September and the End of October, with finalists announced in early November. The hybrid (online and in-person) awards ceremony will take place in Mid November.
