Winners of Transform Awards Nordics 2021 announced

Nordics

Transform magazine is proud to announce the winners of the Transform Awards Nordics 2021, which reflect the agencies and creative teams exhibiting exemplary work in brand strategy and development in the region.

Each entry was examined by a panel of expert judges, who determined those that set the benchmark in best practice in corporate, product and global brand design and strategy.

After winning a Gold in ‘Best use of audio brand,’ Storytel and Efterklang also swept up the most coveted prize of the night, the 2021 ‘Grand prix’ award. To develop an audio branding universe for Storytel that would convey the brand and its services and also work globally with different cultures and languages, Efterklang turned to the heart of the brand. Using Storytel’s narrator voices and stories from its own global audiobook library, Efterklang created an innovative audio universe that blew the judges away.

Another notable winner of the night was Swedish Arts Council and Tegel & Hatt Design Agency, who took home the ’Best overall visual identity,’ for their work on creating a vibrant, visually compelling and colourful visual identity for the Council. The new visual identity is closer to the arts and cultural expressions rather than bureaucracy and politics, which the Swedish Arts Council had long been associated with. Although unexpected from a public sector brand, the brand identity fits well with SAC's mission and artistic vibe.

“The challenges of the past year have been immense, as companies of all sizes have worked to mitigate the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. That’s why this year’s Transform Awards winners are incredibly deserving of their recognition. They have championed communications, design and strategic brand development in the most difficult of landscapes and they have achieved great things. Our judges were amazed by the work crafted by organisations and their agencies across so many different sectors: from automotive to the arts, financial services to the third sector,” says Andrew Thomas, publisher of Transform magazine and founder of the Transform Awards Nordics.

Judges were also impressed by Geely and Ojity, which took home a gold in the ‘Best use of visual property,’ category and a silver in ‘Best visual identity from the property, construction and facilities management.’ Working with Ojity, Geely developed a completely new visual identity, abandoning the early project name, Geely Innovation Centre, for a new brand, Uni3 by Geely.

Winners were announced this evening in a virtual awards event. The recording of the event is available to watch here.
