Transform Awards Asia 2021 winners announced

For the past eight years, the Transform Awards Asia have been celebrating the transformative power of branding and rebranding in the continent. Transform magazine is proud to announce the winners of the Transform Awards Asia 2021, which reflect the agencies and creative teams exhibiting the best work in brand strategy and development.

Each entry was examined by a panel of expert judges, who determined those that set the benchmark in best practice in corporate, product and global brand design and strategy.

After sweeping up golds in the ‘Best use of typography,’ ‘Best brand evolution' and ‘Best visual identity from the financial services sector,’ categories, Standard Chartered and Lippincott took home the most coveted awards of the night, the ‘Grand prix.’ Standard Chartered worked with Lippincott to develop a new brand identity that would retain existing customers whilst facilitating growth. The refreshed identity, which features a new style of imagery, modernised iconography and a bespoke typeface, really impressed the judges.

Jing-A and MetaDesign China were also stars of the night, winning the ‘Best overall visual identity’ award for their work on creating a brand that successfully reinterprets Beijing’s culture and history. Jing-A and MetaDesign China also won awards in the ‘Best use of packaging,’ ‘Best use of visual property’ ‘Best brand evolution’ and ‘Best visual identity from the food and beverage sector’ categories.

"The challenges of the past year have been immense, as companies of all sizes have worked to mitigate the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. That’s why this year’s Transform Awards Asia winners are incredibly deserving of their recognition. They have championed communications, design and strategic brand development in the most difficult of landscapes and they have achieved great things,” says Andrew Thomas, publisher of Transform magazine and founder of the Transform Awards Asia.

Judges were also impressed by MyRepublic and Superunion, and Good Vibes and 1HQ Brand Agency Singapore, which both took home three awards in different categories.
