Best Global Brands 2026: Nvidia identified as fastest-growing brand
Interbrand’s Best Global Brands 2026 identified technology as the biggest driver of value creation in this year's ranking.
US AI leader Nvidia was the big winner in Interbrand’s latest Best Global Brands report for a second year running. Following a 116% increase in brand value in 2025, it recorded a further 71% rise in 2026, outranking both Coca-Cola and YouTube and securing its place inside the global top 10 for the first time.
However, the report warns that Nvidia is generating revenue faster than it is building an emotional connection with consumers, suggesting a need for brand investment to secure long-term preference.
While the total value of the world’s top 100 brands increased by 8.1% to $3.87 trillion, the report found that automotive brands had a particularly difficult year. Toyota (-20%), Mercedes-Benz (-19%) and Tesla (-38%) saw enormous declines in brand value, while automotive brands Hyundai and BYD still failed to meet the top 100 average growth. Ferrari, meanwhile, recorded an impressive 15% increase, which the report puts down to the brand offering a “clearer proposition”.
Gonzalo Brujó, global CEO of Interbrand, says, "For years, strong brands could assume their reputation would carry them through difficult periods. But that's no longer enough. The brands pulling ahead today are the ones using brand as a business tool, not simply an asset. They're creating new sources of demand, building stronger relationships with customers and finding new ways to grow."
Elsewhere, the world’s number one brand, Apple, saw its 9% brand value growth overshadowed by its nearest competitors, Microsoft (+14%) and Google (+23%).
