Interbrand’s Best Global Brands 2025 report, which ranks companies based on brand value, saw Nvidia record the largest-ever value increase in the report’s history.

US AI leader Nvidia was the big winner in Interbrand’s latest Best Global Brands report. With an estimated 116% increase in brand value on the previous year, the tech firm surged up the ranks to place 15th. Interbrand believes this is due to the company’s impressive product marketing, but warns it must invest in long-term brand storytelling to fend off disruptors.

Digital media and entertainment platforms – including Netflix, YouTube, Uber, Nintendo and Instagram – all saw substantial improvements from the previous year. It was a different story for retail brands, with IKEA and H&M both suffering value loss.

Greg Silverman, Interbrand’s global director of brand economics, says, “The brands winning in 2025 are those that view disruption as an opportunity. Whether it’s Instagram scaling into e-commerce, Netflix expanding into live entertainment or Ferrari entering fashion and hospitality – they’re using brand to unlock new revenue streams.”

Elsewhere, Nike’s loss (-25.9%) was adidas’ gain (+12.4%), and Microsoft closed the gap between itself and the most world’s valuable brand, Apple, to less than $100bn.

Interbrand’s global CEO, Gonzalo Brujó, adds, “Digitally enabled services and the rise of AI are creating winners faster than ever. Disruption is a defining force shaping global brands. Brands that are innovating across industries and entering new arenas, building cultural relevance and investing in long-term brand strategy are winning. Those relying on legacy strength alone are seeing challenges to their growth.”

The report concludes that the overall brand value of the top 100 list increased by 4.4% to $3.6tn.
