Transform Awards Europe winners represent best in European branding

Screen Shot 2018-02-26 at 15.21.56.png

One of the Transform Awards Europe winners had the most successful airline launch of all time. Another redefined a neighbourhood for the better. Another still took a thriving music community and revitalised the business behind it.

Rebranding and brand development is not only commendable because of the impact it has on an organisation’s perception, but has a tangible impact on business. The winners of the 2018 Transform Awards Europe exemplified that. Last night’s awards recognised the best in European brand design, implementation, strategy and conceptualisation.

Of this year’s winners, Level and Superunion took home the ‘Grand prix’ for its ability to launch a successful new business under the IAG airline umbrella, but to support that launch with a targeted, precisely developed and colourfully engaging visual identity. The airline was the most successful launch of its kind. The other premier award, the ‘Best overall visual identity’ prize was bestowed upon Deliveroo and Design Studio. Judges thought the rebrand was an effective means of modernising the brand, allowing it room to expand and addressing both the company’s digital and physical assets, alike.

Smaller businesses shone at the awards as well. Andertons Music Co.’s work with the Pull Agency was one of the judges’ darlings for its ability to take a community and develop a brand for that audience. Pie purveyor Higgidy’s work with B&B Studio used a set of mismatched plates as the basis for a vibrant new visual identity. Primal Roots, a fitness organisation that uses sport to give people’s lives a new start worked with Lantern on an identity inspired by nature, social purpose and a passion for fitness.

Brittany Golob, editor of Transform magazine, says, “For each and every winner of the Transform Awards, there is a story of dedication, brilliant ideas, creative excellence and strategic craft. This year’s winners are the best in class in European rebranding and brand development and represent the impact great branding can have on an organisation.”

The Transform Awards North America and Transform Awards Asia-Pacific are open for entries. In Europe, the Transform Conference will take place in London on 3 July. Featuring a specific parallel conference sessions focusing on the financial, education and charity sectors, this year’s conference won’t be one to miss. Book your tickets now!

Previous speakers include brand professionals from British Steel, Action for Children, London & Partners, Vauxhall Motors, Starbucks, Sport England and more. To find out about speaking opportunities for this year’s event, contact Elizabeth Bailey.
