Epicor rebrand: a seamless solution for a complex business

Epicor Case Study Transform Banners

U.S.-based software company Epicor worked with creative agency Together Design to refine its brand position and refresh its visual identity. The rebrand signals a new chapter for the company and makes a statement about Epicor’s ambition of building a world of better business.

The new brand positioning simplifies the journey for customers and strengthens Epicor’s offering by focusing on their core differentiators of industry expertise, experience across the supply chain and curated enterprise resource planning solutions. This all culminates in Epicor’s mantra, ‘Made with you, for you.’

“Our designs are fluid and uncluttered because that’s what Epicor delivers – brilliant, seamless solutions,” says Heidi Lightfoot, co-founder and creative director at Together Design.

Together Design realised that for a company proud of its affinity with its customers, a sense of partnership and empathy was missing in communications materials. To remedy that, the agency put the customer at the heart of the new branding, allowing for Epicor’s expertise to shine through. The new brand illustrations are soft and friendly, while the logo is strong and the typography clear. Colours are bold enough to have clout and bright enough to have energy.

“We wanted Epicor’s new visual identity to reflect the affinity they have with their customers. The look is friendly, grounded and straightforward, yet smart, fresh and effortlessly stylish,” says Lightfoot.

After working on the core brand framework and visual identity, Together Design developed the brand architecture, streamlining 70+ products into 5 core industry areas with clear naming principles and protocols.

“We partnered with Together Design to create a brand that builds on the nearly 50-year heritage of Epicor but is fit for the future – a brand that defines our unique deep vertical expertise as the essential partners for the world’s most essential businesses. Above all, we wanted to create a brand that reflects who we are today. Our new brand better represents what our customers experience with us, and we’re delighted with the results,” says Paul Stoddart, CMO at Epicor Software.
