Employer Brand Management Awards 2018 shortlist announced

ebma.jpg

Companies across Europe are recognising the growing importance of a strong employer brand to attract the best talent, drive a corporate culture that retains talent and engage current employees with the organisation. For the past two years, the Employer Brand Management Awards has recognised those companies’ successes.

This year, the shortlist for the Employer Brand Management Awards includes some previous winners in addition to a swathe of brands working on exciting new programmes to address their corporate culture, recruitment efforts and employee experience.

One of those includes ForrestBrown, a tax and accountancy firm with a character-filled approach to employer branding. Accenture, shortlisted three times, has made diversity, social media and experience the key to improving its business. For charities like Care UK and Jewish Care, innovative programmes allowed them to stand out from competitors in their sector and achieve more for their businesses.

The winners of the 2018 awards will be announced on 19 April at a gala dinner.

Nicky Ivory-Chapman, head of talent acquisition at Channel 4 and one of the Employer Brand Management Awards' judges, says, "I really enjoyed seeing some very attractive and visually striking artwork in many of this year’s entries. From the vibrant graphics used in Pepsi Lipton’s campaign to the authentic and arresting photography used by Mencap and TeachFirst, the creative was true to the brands ethos and left a lasting impression. Also great to see some brands having fun with their creative – Assurant, Odeon and Kerry Foods nailed it with campaigns that made us smile but were spot on for their audiences."

Fellow judge, Tim Small, VP – employer brand & colleague engagement at IHG adds, "What always stands out for me is the creativity and ingenuity shown by the teams – regardless of size or sector. In the face of some very real business challenges, I was impressed by the strong challenger mindset exhibited in many of the entries."
