VYZR Technologies

Independent, Moscow-based design agency Electric Consultants developed a new brand visual language for VYZR Technologies, a Canadian tech company founded in response to the absence of innovative and effective Protective Personal Equipment (PPE) available to the public in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. Electric Consultants worked on BioVYZR, a consumer-grade Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) that filers air and shields personal space. The aim was to create the visual identity of the brand that would clearly tell its story to the targeted audience while also presenting the company as innovative, high-tech and customer friendly. The electric blue and black colour palette, which depart from the stereotypical dull medical colours, create a sleek and modern visual identity, which reflects the original and inventive products. This is further emphasises by the strapline ‘Venture out & breathe easy.’

Caring For You

Kent-based brand design agency JDO created a new brand identity for a new wellbeing and support service, Caring for You, established by Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNHU). The service offers the NNHU’s staff dedicated counselling support to help them cope with the unprecedented global pandemic. Caring For You’s identity is colourful and bright, featuring fur hospital characters made out of speech bubbles, which deliver personality and a human touch while conveying that communications is essential among the diverse frontline staff affected by Covid-19.  One of the speech bubbles reads, in yellow and thick letters,’ Even heroes need help so call.’The logo incorporates the Hospital’s PRIDE colour palette to ensure it reflects hospital values and was recognisable to staff as an NNUH initiative.

"I am so proud and honoured to leverage the skills of our agency to design an identity for our NHS heroes. Communication is critical for practical advice as well as emotional needs. CARING FOR YOU is a brilliant and much needed service, and it's hugely rewarding to know we've done our bit to help out,” says JDO managing director Fiona Florence.

The brand also includes different merchandise, such as shirts and colourful take-away coffee containers that say, ‘Don’t break! Take a coffee break,’ reminding staff members that Caring For You can help avoid reaching a breaking point.

Hornsey Shed

London-based Salt + Pepper design agency worked on the brand identity for a new pop-up café, bar and music venue, Hornsey Shed, located in the former industrial heartlands of Hornsey in North London. The typographic identity takes its inspiration from the industrial heritage of the area (the venue is nestled in warehouses and derelict railway depots) while the muted colour palette of pastels reflects the more suburban feel that the area now assumes.

The identity includes strategic concept creation and naming, and different media from printed promotional collateral to packaging and interiors.
