TUI unites sub brands

Following a merger last year, TUI Group, the parent brand for a host of international travel firms, is expected to unify all of its sub brands under the TUI branding.

The rebrand is expected to help cut costs in the long term and create a clearer, more consistent, brand experience.

Thomson Holidays, the travel operator that specialises in package holiday deals, will likely be one of the sub brands absorbed. Others effected may include First Choice Holidays, Dutch firm Arke and Marmara in France. The group’s five airlines, Thomson Airways, TUIfly, TUIfly Nordic, Jetairfly and Arkefly are also due for a rebrand under the TUI visual identity.

Germany-based TUI is undergoing a long term unification process, first introduced in 2001. Since then, most of the company’s brands, including Thomson, already use the same logo. The firm has told investors that it will gradually bring the TUI brand to the forefront in European markets.
