Branding awards return to MENA region

The Transform Awards MENA, for branding work that demonstrates skilful application of strategy during a rebrand or brand development project, will return to Dubai in May 2016.

Transform is now accepting entries from organisations in the Middle East and North Africa region.

Transform encourages entries from individuals, agencies and brands who are able to demonstrate well-considered and well-implemented branding projects which helped them to meet business goals. The Transform Awards are taking place in the MENA region for the third year running. The area, which includes the UAE, Saudi Arabia and emerging markets in North Africa, has a unique economy and a growing interest in strategic branding principles.

Last year’s trophy winners include winners of the Grand Prix, GO Telecommunications and Bellwether brand consultancy, for a post-merger rebrand that unified the company and repositioned it as a customer-centric brand with youth appeal. The ‘Best overall visual identity’ award was won by Unisono and Batelco, a Bahrain-based telecommunications company. Its new identity made the brand appear warm and innovative, without alienating existing customers. The categories available for entry include strategy, execution, content and evaluation.

Dee Murphy, MD at Bellwether, said at last year’s event, “This evening’s been absolutely incredible. I’m very grateful to our clients and to our team for all the hard work and effort they’ve put into co-creating these brands with us. Let’s come back next year and do it all again.”

The awards ceremony provides an opportunity for organisations to share their work with clients and peers, and rewards employees for work that sets the bar high for the rest of the branding, design and communications industry.

The global Transform Awards began in Europe and have since expanded to MENA, Asia-Pacific and North America, reflecting the growth and globalisation of strategy as a key aspect of branding and reputation management.

For discounted entry, enter before 21 January 2016. The final deadline is 10 February. For further details of the categories available for entry, the application process and more, please follow this link or contact Liz Foggitt on: lfoggitt@transformmagazine.net
