Industry creates web portal brand

The brand for Veyo, a new digital conveyancing service, has been created by brand strategy consultancy, Industry.

Sholto Lindsay-Smith, strategy director at Industry, says, “The name Veyo is derived from the Latin for Convey. It has the advantage of being short, easy to pronounce and easy to Google. The product is set to transform the process of buying and selling a home for professionals and consumers alike: it will do for conveyancing what Rightmove had done for house purchasing. It will be the way conveyancing is done in the future as expressed in the line, ‘Veyo, the home of conveyancing.’”

Veyo, a home conveyancing online portal, targets the legal profession ahead of its public launch in Spring 2015. The service is a joint venture between The Law Society and Mastek, a global IT solutions specialist. The service will also include an app, due to launch in 2015.

Industry collaborated with web developers and the user experience team to create a product design that would work seamlessly across all brand touch-points. The new identity incorporates a hare logo that represents speed. Industry also bought in an illustrator who has created a set of illustrations that can be adapted into animation.

While the new brand was mostly implemented digitally, it also had to translate to traditional platforms, such as promotional literature, for marketing purposes.
